As a supplementary event to the recent Hygiene mini-series presented as part of MU22010 (Mushroom international study tours – inbound and outbound) an additional webinar will be delivered 2pm AEST August 22, 2024
The theme is Harvesting Hygiene, the title is The Picker: The Spreader or the Catcher? and the webinar will be delivered by Adam Polisiakiewicz.
ABOUT ADAM:
Adam has been working in the mushroom industry since 2006. He started working as a head grower in newly opened mushroom farms with a size of 16,000 m2 and managed production on two farms in two locations, producing about 150 tons of Agaricus mushrooms weekly.
From 2012-14, he worked as a technical advisor and sales representative for Wokas, the largest peat/casing soil producer for mushroom production in Eastern Europe.
Since 2014, Adam has been working for Sylvan Poland as a Crop Care Member and Sales Representative in Poland, the largest production market of fresh mushrooms in Europe.
Some of Adam's responsibilities include technical support in mushroom cultivation, hygiene supervision, biological and chemical product use, and advice on maximizing harvests. As an integral part of the Crop Care Team, he provides on-farm and online workshops worldwide.

TARGET AUDIENCE
The webinar is a supplementary event to the recent Mushroom Farm Hygiene Miniseries. It will provide additional information and build on existing knowledge about managing farm hygiene.
The Target audience is key farm staff who have worked in the industry at least 3 months, it is not targeted to new entrants with no experience on a mushroom farm.

- 1.30pm - 2.30pm ACST (Adelaide)
- 9.00am - 10.00pm AWST (Perth)
COST: Free.
ELIGIBILITY: For Australian Agaricus bisporus grower levy-payers, and their employees only. Not open to exotic growers or start-up farms.
