What is the SAFE MUSHROOM Food Safety Program?
The SAFE MUSHROOM Food Safety program, has been developed to assist non-certified Australian mushroom growers to adopt food safety best practice on farm. The program also offers mushroom food manufacturers with a Food Safety Plan template.Â
The program includes a toolkit of done-for-you resources, including a variety of maps, plans, charts, instructions and training documents, to help growers maximise food safety governance at their production facilities. You can also access free Food Safety posters for your farm and staff training videos.Â
The SAFE MUSRHOOM Food Safety Program toolkit is FREE to download for all Australian growers of Agaricus bisporus and exotic varieties, so you can immediately implement food safety best practices on your farm.Â

Whats covered in the SAFE MUSHROOM program?Â
The SAFE MUSHROOM Food Safety program is designed for non-certified Australian mushroom farms. The program includes seven modules, each with a toolkit of supporting resources that you can download and implement on your farm:

- Chemicals
- Water
- Premises and Facility
- Measuring and Monitoring Equipment
- Product

The SAFE MUSHROOM Program also includes a seperate Mushroom Food Manufacturer - Food Safety Management Plan template, developed specifically for non-certified mushroom growers who produce food products one thier farm. The template is based on the HACCP Principles, and covers mushroom products, such as sauces, powders, jerky or chips. The templates are free to download and use for all Australian mushroom growers.
The SAFE MUSHROOM Program is FREE for all Australian mushroom growers of any species.Â
