Bangers and Mushroom Mash recipe

 200 g Swiss Brown mushrooms, sliced
 1 clove garlic, crushed
 1 kg potatoes, peeled and roughly chopped
 8 beef sausages
 cup of milk
 pinch of salt
 Salad greens to serve

Add the prepared potatoes to a large pot of water. Bring to the boil and allow the potatoes to cook for 10-15 minutes, depending on the size . Potatoes will be tender when ready.

Place sliced Swiss Brown mushrooms in a medium frying pan and dry fry over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes. Mushrooms should be golden and starting to soften.
Add butter to the pan. Stir until melted then add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.

Cook sausages in a frying pan for 3-4 minutes on each side. Meanwhile, your potatoes should be cooked and ready to mash. Strain excess water from the saucepan, add butter and milk and mash until smooth. Add the cooked mushrooms and stir to combine.

Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve sausages on a bed of mushroom mash and a side of salad greens.
